The Capital City Marathon starts here in Sylvester park in downtown Olympia The half marathon runners started 45 minutes after the full marathoners After passing thorugh Priest Point Park we headed east on 36th Ave. The course is quite hilly, something I'm not used to after running so many races in Florida. This is around mile 6 near San Francisco Street Central St Legion Way, mile 8, about where I knew something was wrong with my foot But I kept on running since I was on pace to my best time ever. This is mile 12 passing the Capitol building. The winner of the marathon passing all the halfers In his 50s, its Paul completing yet another full marathon Julie is turning into a crazy marathoner as well Debbie being helped by her brother and Bill Debbie on the final stretch. Bill ran about 5 miles with her to make sure she kept up the pace Julie finishing in under 4 hours The giant blood blister that formed around mile 8 - it hurt to walk for about 3 days. I also think my toenail was coming loose. Sauconys usually work for me, but I think it's time to switch brands.
