On Blackbeards, we traveled for six days around the Caribbean scuba diving up to 4 times per day The 62-foot Pirate's Lady looks just like this boat (Morningstar) - Blackbeards has a fleet of 3 boats Our bunks were in the main galley. Not much privacy, but there's the kitchen, shower, and a giant basket of hanging fruit at your disposal. Entrance to the main galley The ceiling is so low you can't sit on your bed. This was my sleeping area for a week. The head with salt water pump flush And finally the salt water shower. It's not nearly as bad as it sounds. We did a total of 18 dives including reef, wreck, night, and wall dives. The first dive was Dark Star in the Gingerbread Grounds east of Bimini Gray Angelfish Dave snapped these underwater pics Hogfish Ilya catching lobster - but it was out of season so we couldn't keep it This Red Hind Grouper was not shy at all Chris It's truly a whole different world underwater Our group from Florida accounted for 6 of the 21 divers The non-native lionfish. Blackbeards runs Lionfish Expeditions to document and collect the lionfish. Queen Triggerfish Squirrelfish Dave, Ilya, and Marc between dives Our boat, the Pirate's Lady One of the best vacations ever! Dive Master Steph giving the dive briefing for North Turtle Rocks First Mate Booger and Shiloh our cook Dave and Chris grabbing a non-alcoholoic beverage between dives. It was unlimited beer and rum punch, but once you drank, no more diving for the rest of the day. Lori taking a nap and keeping out of the sun Lori descending at a site called Krispy Kreme We went down 120 feet and the visibility was superb! It was my favorite dive! Foureye Butterflyfish Spotfin Butterflyfish Yellowtail Snapper A solo Caribbean reef shark came eerily close to us divers Commencement of the first international sponge games Ilya showing off his sponge spinning technique Interception! Smooth Trunkfish Creole Wrasse The crabs were large and abundant on our night dive Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber (Cukes) The onslaught of blood worms on our night dive led many to skip the remainder of the night dives Goofing off between dives: With a running start, we jumped off the boat using the boom swing, tarzan-style Chris going for the back flip
